This bold, eye-catching stained glass style uses thick slabs of faceted glass to refract light and color and has a similar aesthetic to mosaic and abstract compositions. We are proud to be the trusted Dalle de Verre experts in Colorado Springs, offering Dalle Glass restoration, repair, and design.

What Is Dalle Glass?
Dalle Glass is an abstract style of stained glass. The term “Dalle de Verre” comes from France and means “slabs of glass.” The glass used is much thicker than normal stained glass windows. The technique was originally created by Jean Gaudin in 1930, a famous Parisian artist who had a strong passion for mosaics.

More sand is added (often a darker color) to fill in the remaining spaces and give the composition a finished look.
